Love when UPS brings Goodies

I got my SU! order yesterday.  Its my first order this year and it was a big one.  I was so excited when he came to work with my order.  Couldn’t really do anything with it other then drool on it until I got home.  I got home didn’t really get to do anything with it either other then take a few pics to share with you.  So as I am sitting here typing this my goodies still sit in my craftroom waiting for me to play with them and I don’t think (as sad as this is) I will be able to play with them until Saturday.  But I have several ideas dancing around my head, so at least when I do get to play I have a plan.  So without any more rambling see what I got….007I did label these since for some reason the picture didn’t come out to well.  So if you click on the pic you can see what all Sizzix I ordered from the Spring Catalog.  I think the sizzix stuff was what I was most excitied about getting.

009I only ordered 2 punches.  One was a freebie because of Salebration I got the mini label punch.  The butterfly punch is from the Spring Catalog.

010 Stamps.  Some from the Spring Catalog, Salebration and Hostess Items.

011I also ordered the skinny bags (they are big enough to hold a pretzel rod).  I got glimmer paper free (2 sheets) and Designer Series Paper also a Salebration freebie.

So that’s all I got I didn’t think I did to bad.  So once I get a chance to play I will post what I made.

Come back tomorrow I have a Birthday Card I made for my Cousin’s Birthday that was over the weekend.  Hope you have a wonderful evening and until my next rambling :)

Is it Spring yet?

The crazy weather we have had here in Indy is ridicules.  One day it was 60 degrees and the next day it was like 28 degrees.  Yesterday we had a miner ice storm and who knows what the weather will be like tomorrow.  At this point I cant wait for Spring to be here.  So like I mentioned last blog post I did some decorations for a Baby Shower my mom held at work for one of her former employees.  So I hope you enjoy them.   I did notice while I was downloading the pictures I completely forgot to take a pic of the card I made for her.  Sometimes I am so goofy.

02-13Now these weren't made with my Cricut I actually found the pattern for the baby shoes online and then I cut them out and put them together.  The actual pattern was a lot bigger then I wanted so I shrank it down to I think 50%.  These were made to hold m&ms and Hershey kisses to hand out to the guests as party favors.

02-2013This set of baby shoes I made for the mother-to-be as a memento of the baby shower.  These were made using the same baby shoe pattern with shrinking the size down to like 75%.  Now these were a lot harder to do because they are so small, but they were really cute.

2-10-13These were made with the Cricut Machine.  The baby carriages, bottles & pacifiers were used on the table as decorations.  I made a little stand with scrap paper and glued it on the backs.

All the decorations were a big hit.  Mom said whatever the mother-to-be didn’t want the other guest wanted them.  I hope you enjoyed the pics.  If you would like a copy of the baby shoe pattern please let me know and I can send you a copy of it or can look up the link to the actual pattern (the full size) and pass it onto you.  Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend.  Until my next rambling :)

Birthday Card & Gift

Good Evening all, hope you had a wonderful day.   I just realized today that I forgot to come back and put on here a Birthday Card I made for my SIL and the Snowman light that I made after Christmas.  I have no excuse other then being lazy for not coming back and saying Hi and look what I made.  I also have a few other things I made last week for a baby shower my mom had for a former employee.  Those pictures I have yet to upload onto my computer.  Hopefully I can do that in the next few days and get them posted.  Okay enough of my blah blah blahing.  So without any further rambling here is the Birthday Card.

laura's b-day card 2013I love this stamp.  Its not only really cute but its fun to color.  I used mostly retired cardstock from SU! for this card.  I've been trying to use up the older cardstock and scraps I have.

snowman light 2The snowman you probably have seen all over the net during Christmas time.  Its made from those battery operated flickering candles.  My mom got a big box of them on clearance after Christmas so I thought I would make one.  Its super easy and really cute.  My mom had me make it for my SIL as a birthday present.

Well I hope you have a wonderful week.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until my next rambling :)

Winter Blahs = Spring Cards

Good evening all.  Hope all is well with you and your family.  All is well here in my household.  Just wishing Spring would hurry up and arrive.  I'm so getting tired of cold & snow.  So I thought with all the snow & cold I would make some bright and Spring cards for a couple of my mom’s employees that are moving on.  I haven't had a lot of time to spend in my craft room lately because its being used as a bedroom right now, hopefully when all has settled around here I can once again get into it and create.  I have had so many ideas for cards running thru my head that I want to get in my craft room and be creative.  So without anymore rambling I will show you the Spring cards.

2013 Not sure I really like the saying, but I don’t really have a stamp that said “ So Long” so I had to settle on stickers.

janet's goodbye card This one was fun to make but took a little time to glue the butterflies on the card.  The card also shimmers in the light but doesn't show up to well in the picture.  Also wasn’t sure if I liked it to much because there seemed to be to many butterflies on it, but everyone else thought it looked good.

Well I hope you enjoyed the cards.  Have a wonderful weekend.  Check back later this week because I have a birthday card and a snowman light to share with you.  Until my next rambling :)

Our Christmas Card

So I figure by now everyone I send Christmas Cards to should have them by now. So I thought I would share the card with all of you.  This is the 1st year that I made everyone the same card, I usually make everyone a different card.  This year it just wasn’t going to happen.  So much has gone on that I just couldn't come up with different ideas.  I will have to make it up to everyone next year.  I really did enjoy making the card, its super easy.  The picture doesn't show it but I sprayed Glimmer Mist to give it the sparkle like snow.  The card looks a lot better in person then in the pic. So without anymore rambling here is the card:

Misc 025  I was planning on making a video to share with you on how I made the card but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.  I’m hoping to make it Monday night and get it posted.  So I hope you will check back for that video.  I hope everyone has a wonderful night and weekend.  Until my next rambling :)

Christmas Cards 2012

Good Sunday Morning to you all.  I have a few Christmas Cards to share with you all.  Neither of the ones I'm going to show you are our Christmas Cards this year that will have to wait until later this week, that way I'm sure everyone has gotten them and I don’t ruin the surprise.  I hope everyone is having a nice December.  We are kind of behind in the whole Christmas decorating and other stuff.  So far we have the spiral trees we decorate our front yard up, but decided we weren't going to decorate the outside of the house with lights this year.  I did decorate the inside of the house kind of, we don’t have the tree up.  Its out in the living room just still chilling in the storage box.  Hopefully this week we might get it up.  I at least got the cards done just need them addressed and mailed out.  Without anymore rambling here are 2 Cards I have made for fun.  Hope you enjoy.

Santa 2012 The Santa Stamp is actually my moms but I borrowed it and had some fun making this card.

Christmas Santa 2012 This one I think is my favorite, it took a little bit to make.  I got the idea from Valita at http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com/2012/11/ive-been-published-glittery-santa.html.  I changed mine just a little bit because I didn’t have a few items that she used.  I also flocked his mustache.  But I think its super cute and I might just keep him and not send him out.  I'm actually thinking of making him into a ornament for our Christmas Tree.  If I get a chance I will try and make a video on how I made the Santa ornament above.  If you follow the link above Valita made a video on how she did it.

Well that’s all I have to share for today.  Check back later in the week and I will share with you our Christmas card and also share with you my rearranged Craftroom.  Which has once again became my favorite room in my house.  More on that later.  Have a wonderful Sunday and a wonderful week.  Until my next rambling :)

Fall.  I love fall, the cool temps, the changing of the leaves and the best part is Halloween.  My Favorite Holiday!!!!!  So I have a Halloween Card to share with you today.  The stamp set that was used my parents gave me for Christmas.  It has been sitting on my stamping shelf waiting to be used and I finally broke it out the other day and made 2 cards.  I am only going to share 1 with you right now because the pic I took of the other one didn’t turn out.  So once I get around to it I will share that one with you along with some other Halloween Creations I have made.  So with out any further rambling here is the card:

Swaps are done!!!!!

I finished last night.  All 100 of them have been stamped, put together and delivered to my wonderful upline Kathy who is kind enough to offer to swap with other demonstrators at the SU! convention next week.  One of these days I will be able to go to the convention.  But until then I enjoy looking at the other people’s blogs and pics of the convention.  So I have pics to share with you of my swaps.  I hope you enjoy.

2012 Convention Swaps (1) This swap is just like the card I made for my parents for their anniversary.  It was super easy and I 50 of them in 5 different colors.

2012 Convention Swaps (4) I think this is my favorite one of the swaps.  It also took the longest.  The butterflies wings stick out kind of like 3d.  The only bad thing about that is I'm thinking that by the time they make it to convention they will all be flat.  Even if they are flat I still really like this card.

The only thing I goofed on with my swaps was before I put them all together I put the label on the back listing what I used etc. and I put some of them upside down.

Well I hope you enjoyed the pics.  Have a wonderful weekend and until my next rambling :)

Gotta Love A/C

Well at least if you are in one of the several states that the temps are 104 or more.  Here in Indy this I believe is the 5th day of 100+ temps.  Oh how we need cooler and rainy days.  Went out and bought another birdbath for the poor birds.  We now have one in front and one in back.  I love watching the birds splashing around in them.  Any who you didn’t come here to read about hot weather, birds or the a/c.  You want to see what I have been up to.  So with out any further rambling….. I finally got a pic or should I say my mom got the pic of the Toads I made for her and the people that work with her.

Toad Stand I got the idea from several different blogs that very talented ladies made (I'm sorry I don’t remember who’s blog I got the idea from, if its you let me know and I will give you credit).  Its super easy and they are actually made to hold nugget candy bars, but my mom needed them to hold little scrolls.  The funny thing is that after I made 25 of these and started packing them up to take to her I noticed that some of the Toads eyes were funny, like the one above.  They were a great hit.

The next pick is a sneak peek of the Swaps I'm making for Convention.  I have the 1st 50 done and now I'm just waiting on my SU order to come in on Monday (its arriving a day early) so I can do my other 50.  Once I have them all done I will share a pic of them with you all.

Swaps 2012 (3)Can you see them laying on my cabinet top?  I did 50 in 5 different colors.  They were super easy and fun to make.  When I share them with you next weekend I will let you know what I used.  Until then hope everyone stays cool and have a wonderful weekend.  Until my next rambling :)

Good Afternoon

I have a card to share with you.  I made this for my parents anniversary which is in July.  It’s very simple and easy card.  I used 2 colors and 2 punches and that’s it.  If I make another one like this I think I might rethink how I would place the flowers.  So I hope you enjoy the card.

06-2012

The more I look at it the more I’m thinking of redoing it and placing the flowers a little better.  I’m hoping to work on some more cards tonight since there really isn't anything I can do outside.  Here like almost everywhere else its hot, dry and icky out.  My usual routine every night has been come home from work make dinner then go outside and hose down(water) the plants and the few bushes we have.  Then water just the grass by the road (incase someone throws out a lit cig).  Then I come in and watch TV  or work in the craftroom.  Boy do we know how to live a exciting life in this house Smile

I hope everyone has a wonderful night.  Until my next rambling :)

Card Instructions:

Punched flower using Blossom Punch and put Designer Series Paper behind it (cut it just big enough to put behind both flowers)

Then Punched another flower out using Blossom Punch and used the negative as a mask and daubed color around & in it to make the other flowers (does that make sense?)

If you have any questions please let me know.

Card Supplies are all Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Designer Series Paper (retired)

Inks: Black Stazon, Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake

Punches: Modern Label, Blossom

A No Pic Update

Hi all, so wanted to touch base with you and update you on whats new.  I have been kind of busy in my craftroom here lately.  I made 25 toad nugget holders for my mom's work.  They didnt use them to hold candy nope they used them to hold little scrolls.  I unfortunatly didnt take a single pick.  When she goes back to work next week I will go in and get a pic to share with you all.  I also have been making cards for a couple of birthday's, graduation and just because cards.  Which I will post pics of those here hopefully this weekend.  Im ording stuff from SU! next weekend to start making my swaps for convention which my wonderful upline is going to take and pass out--Thank you Kathy!!  Talk about waiting to the last minute to order stuff.  I have until the end of the month to order or I go into pending next month.  Dont you hate it when you get paid and have extra money and you have it all planned out where you are going to spend it and then in my case the Light Co throws a wrench into your plans.  Darn light co but what could I do I need power ;)  So when I receive my goodies from SU I will post a pic.  I am also hoping to start getting on here and posting a lot more and yes I know I keep saying that but things are better and Im back in my stamp room almost everynight and I have ideas floating in my head which its been a long time since that's happened.  Sorry for no pics, but next week I will get them posted.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and if you know of any kind of rain dance do one for all the states that desperatly need rain (like here in Indiana) cause we all need it.  Until my next rambling :)

P.S. Thanks to you all who posted a comment on my last post.  I really appreciated it.

Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly, or a couple times a year. What do you enjoy about my blog.  Just things like that.  I'm trying to decide, how often I should update my blog based on reader comments and f there is even anyone who still reads my blog or if I should just let it go.  I thank you for your time in taking/leaving a comment.  I hope to go thru the feedback from you all and make a decision very soon.  Have a wonderful day.

Touching base

Wanted to touch base with you all.  I will be back promise.  Its been so beautiful out here in Indy that I have been taking advantage of it by working in the yard etc.  So Im hoping within the next few weeks I will get back into my craftroom and craft :)   I also have been thinking of maybe just letting go of my blog since Im not sure anyone really gets on here and looks.  I might do a poll and get an idea of just how many people would like me to keep up with my blog.  Ill keep you posted on if I do a poll.  If you have any comments or if there is a certain technique, project or card you would like to see on here please let me know.  Until then hope everyone has a wonderful week, weekend and Easter.  Until my next rambling :)

A Birthday Card

I made for my cousin.  Actually I made 3 but the one I’m going to show you is my favorite and also the only one I took a pic of.   The other 2 cards for my other 2 cousins happen to be cards I have had in my stash for awhile.  Other then making them cards this weekend, the only other thing I did was finish up labeling my wooden stamps that I turned into cling stamps.  I’ve been working on it for a little over 2 years and still need to get some more cases for the rest of the stamps.  I have decided that at this time I’m going to leave the stamps I still have that are wooden alone.  Maybe in the future I will change them over but its just time consuming.  I do have to say I much rather prefer the cling stamps to the wooden ones.  Well I’m hoping to get into the craft room this week, but right now I have a head cold and its just kind of hard to stamp, blow nose & sneeze.  I’m hoping that the cold will only last a few more days :)  So without anymore rambling I will share with you the birthday card.

006 (5)My cousin is unique and loves goth and strange or unusual things.  I find it very easy to make cards for her.  I think she is pretty cool.  She is an amazing drawer and is incredibly funny.  Her and her 2 brothers turned 17 last week.  All supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted: Basic Black Cardstock, Melon Mambo Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Spritzer Tool, Rose Red Marker, Basic Black Marker, Black Magic Glimmer Mist (Local Craft Store), Chic & Scary Die Cut (Local Craft Store)

008 (5)The inside of the card.  All Supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted: Basic Black Cardstock, Melon Mambo Cardstock, Not So Seriously Stamp Set, Chic & Scary Die Cut (Local Craft Store)

I hope you enjoyed the card.  Hope everyone has a wonderful evening.  Until my next rambling :)

Good Golly, Miss Molly

Were in the world did the time go.  I swear it was just Friday.  I actually have 2 things to share with you.  I made these on Sunday and had all intentions to put them on the blog Monday, but I got busy.  This time of year I really don’t like or at least around here in Indy.  Its one of those months that one day its cold and gloomy out and the next its almost 60, sunny and just plan beautiful outside.  One of those beautiful days was yesterday, I actually had my windows open for a little while to air out my house.  Now its back to being cold.  Come on spring I'm so ready for you to be here so I can be outside getting my yard ready for flowers & hummingbirds.  Ok I'm done rambling :)  So the items I want to share with you is something I made for my mom.  I hope you enjoy.  Have a wonderful evening.  Until my next rambling :)

002This is a desk name plate for my mom.  She is thinking about having me make some for her employees desks.  They are really simple to do and fun.  All Supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted:  Designer Series Paper (2011-2013 In Color), Worm Stamp from First Day (Retired), Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Markers (Other), Frame (local store), Name (Other Die Cutting Machine).

006Mom saw these at a store the other day and I told her I could make them.  The store ones were a lot nicer then mine and you could actually tell theirs were roses.  That’s what the flowers are supposed to be.  I must work on these a little more. All supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted: Whisper White Cardstock, Glorious Green Cardstock, Pixie Pink Ink, Punch (Local Craft Store)

A Short Post & a Card

So I was planning on have a couple Easter Cards to share with you tonight, but plans changed and wasn’t able to make anything.  I was also hoping to be able to do a few other projects to share with you this weekend, but that’s not going to be possible.  So come hopefully Monday I will have stuff for you.  See when my BF son comes to stay with us on weekends I lose my Craft room because that’s the room he sleeps in and hangs out in.  So that is why I don’t have anything other then 1 card to share with you tonight, but I figure it’s a small sacrifice for me so he can have a room when he comes over.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Until my next rambling :)

003 (4) I just fell in love with this Easter Bunny.  Actually the whole stamp set is really cute for Easter Cards. All supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted: Everybunny Stamp Set, Baroque Motifs Stamp, Pretty in Pink Cardstock, Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Markers (Local Store), Chocolate Chip Marker, Pretty in Pink Marker, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, White Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen, Color Spritzer Tool, Basic Black Ink, Pretty in Pink Ink

Kitchen Frame to Share

Good Afternoon all.  Its cloudy & raining here in Indy today.  Yesterday we had snow on the ground today its all gone.  I’m so loving the winter we are having here.  We have had a little bit of snow which I really don’t like but we have been lucky that it only stays on the ground for about a day.  Why cant all winters be like this.  So you didn’t come here for a weather report did you.  I have a frame to share with you that I made for my Kitchen.  Its like the name frames everyone has made.  It was super easy to make once I figured out what color I wanted to use for the background.  I'm hoping to be able to put some in a friends store to sell, of course I will custom make them for the customer/client.  The only thing I have to figure out is where to get the frames.  The frame I used on mine is one I’ve had for awhile.  The really cool thing is my mom already placed an order with me for one to go in her kitchen.  Got to love family.  So without anymore rambling here is the pic.

Kitchen sign 2Supplies are all Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted:  Chef (Viola Retired), Markers (Other), Pattern Designer Series Paper Stack (2011-2012 In Color), Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Frame (Other)

If you would like to order a Custom Sign let me know.

Hope you come back tomorrow.  I’m not sure if I’m going to be working on anything tonight but if not I will share with you the Christmas Cards & boxes I made.  Hope you have a wonderful evening.  Until my next rambling :)
