So I was planning on have a couple Easter Cards to share with you tonight, but plans changed and wasn’t able to make anything. I was also hoping to be able to do a few other projects to share with you this weekend, but that’s not going to be possible. So come hopefully Monday I will have stuff for you. See when my BF son comes to stay with us on weekends I lose my Craft room because that’s the room he sleeps in and hangs out in. So that is why I don’t have anything other then 1 card to share with you tonight, but I figure it’s a small sacrifice for me so he can have a room when he comes over. Kitchen Frame to Share

Good Afternoon all. Its cloudy & raining here in Indy today. Yesterday we had snow on the ground today its all gone. I’m so loving the winter we are having here. We have had a little bit of snow which I really don’t like but we have been lucky that it only stays on the ground for about a day. Why cant all winters be like this. So you didn’t come here for a weather report did you. I have a frame to share with you that I made for my Kitchen. Its like the name frames everyone has made. It was super easy to make once I figured out what color I wanted to use for the background. I'm hoping to be able to put some in a friends store to sell, of course I will custom make them for the customer/client. The only thing I have to figure out is where to get the frames. The frame I used on mine is one I’ve had for awhile. The really cool thing is my mom already placed an order with me for one to go in her kitchen. Got to love family. So without anymore rambling here is the pic.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hope everyone’s special someone made your day extra special. Mine sure did, he gave me 2 roses, a stuffed dog, chocolate covered cherries & a funny card. We had homemade lasagna for dinner & have been sitting watching TV. Its been a wonderful day. So my rambling about my Valentine’s Day isn't why you stopped by. A Wonderful Kit

I got my box of goodies from Stampin’ Up! on Friday. It is full of all sorts of stuff. I did take a few pics before I opened everything up, played with it and put it away. If you have ever thought about joining SU! now is the time to do it. Not only is the SU! starter kit $125.00 (us) from now until then end of March, but there is also some really cool incentives you get for starting with them. You have the option to be a Hobby Demo or a Business Demo. I am usually a Hobby Demo, cause I mostly do it to get the discount but I think I might try to do it as a Business. Not sure how that will work out since I work full-time and don’t really have anyone to share my obsession with, other then online. I don’t know I’m in the mood to see what I can do as far as taking my Demo as a Business. I did it, I resigned with Stampin' Up! on Friday. So now I'm waiting for my goodies to come. I checked today to see when it all should arrive and UPS website said Friday. I had my goodies shipped to my work, because my UPS person that delivers at my home likes to leave my stuff in different places. Last time I ordered something that came from UPS I found it in the middle of my sidewalk leading up to my side door, I have also found a package in the middle of my driveway. Now I will also point out my Mail person is also like that. If we order something and it comes USPS it will either be stuffed inside the mailbox so tight it bows the mailbox or it will be in the middle of my driveway. The other reason I had my goodies shipped to my work is so I can look & play during lunch. So I saw the UPS guy who delivers to my office, which also happens to be the same guy who has delivered packages to my parents house for over 20 yrs so I kind of know him, anyway I told him to expect a big delivery for me to be on his truck Friday. So again I am sitting here waiting.....I have a ton of ideas on how to do my SU! business/hobby different then last time. I really hope it works out & I can actually make a side business out of it, instead of just supporting my own habit. So stay tune & like I said in the previous post I will be changing somethings on here. I hope you will visit often & enjoy the new look of my blog as time goes on. Long over due

Hi, miss me? Probably not. I really haven't been very good at keeping up with my blog in several months. I'm truly sorry about that. All will be changing here over the next several weeks to a month. I'm redoing everything. My blog, my outlook on crafting everything. I had surgery back in October and was doing ok for a few days afterwards then a complication came about and was back in the hospital for a few more days. Now I'm better, actually I'm back to my old self other then having to take blood thinner pills until April (at least I'm hoping to be off them by then). So in the last couple of weeks I have been looking into my crafting, stampin up and other things. I noticed that I really miss crafting, stampin up and my blog. I really enjoyed sharing what I do, with those of you who came here to look & hopefully learn a technique. So if those of you who stayed with me thru my MIA period I hope you like what you will be seeing in the upcoming weeks & month. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. A Halloween Card

I made the card a couple weeks ago. If you don’t know Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I cant wait for the day to get here each year. We decorate the whole house, inside and out. This year will be a little different. Because I goofily (is that even a word?) scheduled my surgery 6 days before Halloween. So we will be decorating early and I'm not sure but I'm really hoping I can move around and answer the door for the Trick-or-Treater’s. Which I'm hoping that since we live in a neighborhood with a lots of kids we will have a lot of little monsters, witches, ghost and whatever else the kids dress up like now a days. So this weekend we will be busy working in the yard, putting the summer stuff up that’s outside and decorating the yard and boy will BF be surprised when I tell him the plans for the weekend :) He usually doesn't complain he just goes with it. He is so good at humoring me. So I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Around here its some of the schools Homecomings. The High School I went to is having there homecoming tonight along with a parade. I must confuse I have never gone to the Homecoming not even when I was in school, it just wasn’t my thing. Ok I'm rambling…..so here is the card. Enjoy!

A Card to make you think of….

Christmas. I really don’t know what is up with the weather here in Indy but the card is perfect that I'm sharing with you today. See its really hot out today. Its 90 today, yesterday was 87, last week it was in the 60’s as highs and 50’s as lows. That is the one thing about the Fall in Indy you go thru all the seasons in 1 week. I've lived here long enough to always know to leave out pants and sweatshirts when its summer and always leave out some shorts and cooler clothes for winter. Like last year on New Years Eve it was in the 80’s, which is really strange. Ok enough with the weather. Sorry it took so long to get the card up but I could get a good picture and I also couldn’t get on the computer. But I guess its better late then never right :)

Hope everyone enjoys the card. I liked doing the Christmas card cause I have already started getting presents for Christmas. I know you probably think why in the world would you be getting presents this early. The reason I am is because we have had a little extra money lately so we decided to put the money towards Christmas. Which unlike last year when we couldn’t really get any Christmas presents for anyone, I wanted to make up for it. Especially his son.

Ok I'm really rambling today. I’ll stop and show the card. The card really sparkles in light, cause of the Glimmer Mist. I stamped the Snowflakes in Whisper White for the background and then misted the sparkle on the card. I'm not to fond of the red mist on the saying but I thought it needed something, but if I make another one I'm thinking of leaving the red mist off. I took a sponge and swiped around the edges of the whisper white cardstock with Tea Leaf green ink.

Sorry about yesterday had a few computer issues and also went out on a double date with my honey and my parents to go see Harry Potter. I like this card but I think I probably could have done something more to make it spookier. I think I might revamp it for Halloween. This post is going to be a little shorter I have Hummingbirds who need there feeders cleaned out and refilled. Good Afternoon All

So today was a usual Monday. Went to the Dr. then went to work which took longer then normal. See they are tearing up the main road I take to work so I have to be creative and cut thru neighborhoods to get to work. Usually if I go from home straight to work it takes like 15min and that’s taking either way. But coming home sometimes can take longer. I take the same way back but with the schools getting out and more people going the same way I go it takes longer. I think more people have figured out my cut thru to get around the construction. Anyway no one wants to hear about my drive to and from work do you. So I have another card to share with you today. Its just a everyday kind of card. I have been trying to do different cards each day. Like I have done a Halloween card which I will share with you tomorrow and I did a Christmas card last night. I think the next one I will do is a Fall/Thanksgiving card. I'm not sure yet. So any who…without any more rambling here is the card.

Wanted to share…

A card with you. I am trying to get into the habit of making a card or 2 every evening. I have noticed lately that after dinner I have just been sitting in front of the TV until bedtime. Well I decided I'm kind of bored with that. So I started yesterday evening to make a habit that after my shows end instead of flipping from station to station watching reruns etc. that I will be more productive and play with my very neglected stamping stuff. I think some of my problem is I just don’t have the creativity like I use to. Some of that could be that I no longer am with Stampin’ Up! which I'm hoping that will change here soon. Anyway, I'm going to try this card or 2 a evening thing and try posting online the following afternoon. Some of the reason I have to wait to post the following afternoon is because my loving BF comes home from work and plays pool online and so the only time I have to get online is when I get home from work which happens to be a couple hours before he gets home. I'm hoping my plan does work out. Another reason I'm going to start doing this is I will be having surgery in a couple of weeks and I wont be able to do much so I'm hoping the one thing I will be able to do is make cards and post. I wont bore you with the details on my health right now, but I will say that hopefully after my surgery everything will be much much better. Ok I have rambled enough for one evening and I wont bore you no more. So without further blah blah blahing here is the card. Not sure if you can see the glimmer on the card and on the flower, it really sparkles better in real life then in pic.

Days, Months and Years that it seems like I haven't been on my blog. what in the world has happened to me since I blogged last. Where should I start…..I got a very bad case of Poison Oak, so bad I have scares on parts of my arms. It finally went away about the end of June (which I got it Memorial Day weekend, do I know how to prolong a bothersome rash or what). We started planting plants, mulching our flower beds. Before we started the beds looked really bad and blah. Before you ask I have no before pictures but I could go and get some after pics. We made a new flower bed in the backyard which I finally just got done with over the weekend. We also made a stone patio, which looked really nice and even until we had some really bad rain several weeks ago and washed a lot of the sand & dirt from under the stones, so we need to redo some of the patio. We found a snake in the backyard several feet or miles depending how you want to look at it from the house. I honestly have only stamped twice in the last several months and didn’t even take pics to share :( I haven't really been in the mood to stamp, probably because we have been working on the house to make it look good. I also made my craft room smaller so that boyfriends son could have part of the room for a bedroom. I feel its important for him to have a room in our house, that he can go to when he is here. So my whole point of this ramble is to let you all know I'm still alive but just wont be posting as much this summer. Hopefully by fall/winter I will be more in the crafty mood. What I’m working on-Updated w/Pics

The pictures below are what I'm working on for my mom’s work. My mom works for the local library and each year the library system has a summer reading club. Its for kids, its main goal is to get kids to read. They get points on a card for each book they read and they can turn the points into prizes which range from something silly like a rubber bracelet to free ice cream. My point is that they do themes, I think mom said this years theme is Mad Scientist. So my mom always has a different theme for the girls that work with her. Last year they did “Crabville” and I made little crab signs, pins and awards. This year mom wanted to do something with owls I believe she is going to call it either “Whoville or Hootville”. So I bet you cant guess what I'm going to do……give up that’s right Owls. I'm going to make owl signs, awards and possible pins. So since I don’t have the owl punch from SU! That’s right we finally got the web. The sad thing is I really haven't been on it much since we got it last week. But since we have it I can update my blog much more. New Craft Room

So Sorry-Very long Update

I had ever intention of having this blog updated this Saturday. But unfortunately I was needed at home. Let me explain what happened last week. My BF got sick Wednesday night right before we went to bed, with what I thought was the flu. So we stayed home Thursday from work but called me about 11:30ish to tell me he needed to go to the Hospital cause his stomach hurt really bad. So I left work with the intention of going home to yell at him about being a big baby and suck it up all he had was the flu. So I go out to my van and my tire was flat. So had to call my dad and have him come get me to go home to yell at BF. I got home & I didn't yell at him at all. He was in very serious pain, he was white looking and not his self. So off to the ER we went. Dad dropped us off. We were in the ER, they ran tests, drew blood, gave him happy meds (you know the kind that make you very spacey & sleepy) so after several long and some kind of tense moments the doctor came in and said they had to do surgery. He need his appendix removed. So by this time I was tired, stressed and felt awful because I didn't believe him about being in so much pain. So about 9:30 that night we said goodbye and he went into surgery. So lets see we have been at the hospital for a total of 8 1/2 hrs. Doctor told me the surgery usually last from 20min to 1 hr. So by then I was stressed to the max so I called my parents to sit with me. So after about an hour the Dr came out and told me everything went really good and he had pictures. OK I'm so not the kind of person who will ever be a nurse or doctor cause if I see blood I'm so total going in the other direction. But the pictures were kind of cool. I also didn't know they gave you pics. So they took me to recover to see him and then up to his room. So I finally got home at 1:00am on Friday. He called me about 9:00 that morning saying he was getting ready to be released. So he got to come home Friday at around 2:00pm. He has 3 cuts, one in his belly button, one on his left side and one by his groan. They don't do stitches anymore either they super glued him. So Friday night I showed him his pictures and told him next St. Patricks day we were going to Frame his Surgery Pictures. I thought it was a cute idea. So after the very loooong story above about why I was needed at home. I'm hoping this week will be much calmer and I can post the 2 things I wanted to post. I was able to get the pic of the card I made for one of my cousins b-day downloaded off my phone to the web. The pic is going to be small and Im sorry for that. I used the retired SU stamp with the Knomes (sorry dont know the name of the set). I used something I had laying around in my craft room which was wallpaper samples the kind you get at the Hardware stores. I roughed it up a little with sandpaper. I think it kind of helped the card out a little. I hope you enjoy and I also wanted to share this little tidbit with you....I think I figured out what Im going to do to get better pics etc on here. Im going to see about maybe every Saturday stopping at my parents house to update my blog that way there were be techniques and card pics at actual size. Im sooooo excited that I thought of it. I have pictures of 3 cards I made. Unfortunatly only 1 of the pictures of the cards I made is on my cell phone and thats the only way I can put it on the web :( The others I took with my parents camera and downloaded them on my computer at home with no web. So as soon as I can get my phone to send the card pic to the web I will post the card on here. I have decided that I will NO longer let my no web or money issue effect this blog. I miss it, I miss sharing, I miss rambling. So as God as my witness I will be posting again! So I do want to take a moment to share how I feel.... like crude. I have had a deep pain in the tush cough for almost 3 weeks now along with a runny nose. Thats it I havent felt run down or anything until this morning. I so want to go back home and crawl into bed and sleep. But I cant. I have no sick time or vacation time (actually never have in the almost 6yrs I have worked here). If I take time off I have to make up the hours. I did actually take 2 days off several years ago to hang out with my SIL and my nephew. Lets just say I got a 1/2 day out of it, cause my boss needed my back at work because he couldnt handle the customers. So that was my one and only time trying to get away from work. So now I just suffer with being sick at work and hope that I only get bad on weekends. Sad I know, but I do like my job enough to put up with it. So I sit here sweating cause my boss has the heat set at 78 degrees and Im trying not to fall asleep from the heat and being sick. Hope everyone elses day goes a heck a lot better then mine. I really dont like blogging only every other month or more. I hate not posting video's, pictures or even my ramblings. I never thought that so many changes would happen in my life in under a year. But the one thing I miss most is this, blogging. So after some really hard thinking I have decided to say Goodbye for the time being to my blog and my blog followers (if there are any left). I havent stamped like I use to for a long time. I have made a few cards here and there but they have been ones my family has requested. I would take pictures but all I have is my cell phone and its not always working right. I would love to do videos and share techniques like I use to, but I have no way to do it. I would love to play on the internet looking for inspiration to make cards just for fun and share with you but I have no internet. So I have no real desire anymore to stamp or create. I have played with the idea of just getting rid of my stuff but I cant the creative person inside of me wont let me. I really miss being able to afford fun stamping toys or just being able to afford fun stuff in general. Dont get me wrong, I love my boyfriend, my life I have now but I miss alot. I miss being able to go shopping because I have the money, I miss shrimp, I miss my mom & dad (I do see them), I miss not having to be all that responsible, I just miss being me. Not that the me I am now is bad its just sometimes I feel to grown up and I really dont like it. Sometimes I wonder if we (my bf & me) hadnt gotten back together if I still would be doing what I was doing before and be happy. Even when I was living at my mom & dads I would get down and depressed because I was doing the same thing everynight-go to work, come home, go to bed and do it all over again. Take for grant it its pretty much the same now but its different (if that makes any sense). So my whole point to this is Thanks all of you who have stopped by and visited my blog but for the time being I wont be posting for awhile till I get things straightened out. Oh how I miss being creative because I could, now its filled up with making dinner, cleaning the house, messing with the yard, doing laundry and watching horror movies at night on the couch. Im posting a little something

Can you believe it Im posting something :) Its been awhile but alot has happened. Were should I start lets see.....We moved into a new place, during a snow storm I might add the first weekend on December. We have gotten everything unpacked, settled and really feel like we are at home (unlike the other place). We had a few extra dollars to get a few Christmas presents. All in all December had been a wonderful month. The house we moved into is smaller then the other home, its cozy and we dont have to have the heat turned up to 80 to try to stay warm. I have a laundry room, a breezeway and a 2 1/2 car attached garage (no more going outside to warm the car). We live across from a school that has a playground so my nephews can come over and play at the playground. My bf son can go across the street and play basketball and ride his bike. Im really looking forward to summer at the new place, I have trees I can put birdfeeders on. The only draw back to the house is it has a big front and back yard and we need to get a riding mower. So New Years Eve we had a real exciting night we hung lights in the garage up till about 11:45, then went into the house and watch Dick Clarks New Years Eve Ball Drop. Then stayed up to watch some Twlight Zone marathon and then went to bed. Do we know how to party or what. So with no more rambling of my life, lets get down to this blog and my stamping. As of right now we still cant afford internet so until we do I will post as much as I can on here with stamping stuff and pics. But it will not be as often as I use to, cause I have to do it from work. Also the pics wont be wonderful cause all I have is my camera on my cell. So hopefully things will start getting a little better since my bf got a new job and maybe we will have a little more extra money flow so we can get internet and I can get back online to post on my blog. I miss posting and sharing. I have been stamping and doing other creative things. Oh and I got a Cricut for Christmas from Santa (also known as my dad and mom) so I have been playing with that and learning all the things I can do with it. Hi. I know its been a very long time since I posted anything. So I will give you the reason for the long absent blogging. Well its been a very rough several months. Me & my BF have been broke I mean really broke can barely afford food and gas in our vehicles. Its all because of the house we are renting. The rent is really high and at the time we got the house everything was fine because we had other roommates and then they skipped out on us. So we have been paying for everything ourselves. We finally were able to get enough money together to get the heat turned on and wouldnt it figure the day they turned the heat on the weather started getting warmer. Anyway my BF has been talking to the LL about letting us out of the lease because we cant afford it. So he said ok, but we have to stay there till he rents the house, and Im thinking great he is never going to rent the place for how much he wants. Well, this weekend we found a really nice small and very homey feeling house for rent. Its much cheaper the people who own the home take very good care of it ( our LL we have now wont fix anything the roof has been leaking since August & the toilet dosent flush 1/2 the time) and are very nice people. So Im crossing my fingers and hoping that we can get the place and the LL we have now will let us go ahead and move out of the house we are in now. Im also hoping all of this will happen before Christmas because if it does we will actually have a little bit of money to spend on Christmas. If it dosent I dont know what we are going to do about Christmas. Oh, and the other sad news is I had to let SU! go for now. Im really hoping the first of the year I can sign back up with them and everything will be ok. So I will keep you posted on the going ons in my life as much as possible and hopefully this downtime will be over soon and I can get back to what I started this blog for to show my cards I make, inspire others and share techniques to all my friends out there in webland. Good Luck Chocolate Bar Card

So my mom needed another card for a co-worker. I asked her what do you want on it and her reply was she loves chocolate. Im thinking ok I really dont believe I have any chocolate stamps. So I looked thru my stash and found a few but nothing that really screamed cool card. So yesterday when I came to work I looked on the internet to get some ideas on what I want. Gotta love the internet :) I stumbled on a video on making a chocolate bar thank you card by Dawn (which her blog is located on the right). So I watched her video and thought thats so cool. So I want to thank dawn for the wonderful idea. So when I got off work yesterday I rushed home and made the card (because mom needed the card yesterday night for today and mom told me about needing it late Monday night) and ran it to her work before the library closed. So mom called me later last night and said everyone loved the card and I might even have a order from one of her co-workers to do her Christmas cards. How cool is that. So I guess you all might like to see the card I made.......did I say THANKS TO DAWN (which you can find her blog under Dawns Stamping Thoughts located on the right side). A honest to goodness Rambling

I have to get something off my chest and its kind of stamping related, so hear goes....I love my Boyfriend and I love Stampin' Up! but they arent getting along at the moment. Let me explain. See my boyfriend and I got a house that came with a small building in front and a really big building in the back. Included in this deal is a BIG rent payment and at the time (July) it was fine because we had it all worked out. We had a roommate he had his own side of the house, private door and rooms we only shared a kitchen. He took over the front building and all. So it was working out fine till the end of the month and he moved out while my boyfriend and I were at work. So that meant we (bf & me) had to pay for everything by ourselves. See the guy was on the lease and skipped out on paying the rent & the bills. So we managed to get the rent money for August ( thanks to my family) so we paid the bills, the rent and got grocerys (we have been eating mostly hotdogs & ramen soup) so SU! had to sit on the backburner for another month. Here we are at September and things are a little better, we have the money to pay the rent and bills (grocery's might be another issue, but we will worry about that when we run out of hotdogs). The thing is SU! is on the back burner again. Which makes me really sad becuase I have to make my min. at the end of this month or will go into pending and in the last 5 years I have been with them I have never been in pending. I hate this, I havent been able to order anything from the new catty or the new mini. Im hoping that I can somehow get the money so I can make my min. and stay with SU!. Ive been kind of down lately cause of it, I use to enjoy looking at everyone's blogs but its not as much fun now seeing all the cool creations from everyone using there new stuff. I know its kind of silly I have the old stuff, but darnit I want new things to play with to. So Im done I feel better (kind of) keep your fingers crossed I can come up with away to keep SU! around for another 5 years. I just need to get this months min and I can come up with something else for the other 3 months. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Labor Day Weekend. So I've started moving my craft room stuff from my parents home to my home. Boy I didn't realize how much stamping/crafting stuff I had until I started packing it up. So far in the last 3 days I've made 3 trips w/stamping stuff loaded in my van. Whats bad is I probably have 2-3 more loads. I think its time to go thru it and pass it on to someone else :) So to tell you something that I took for granted was having cable. I have always had cable till I moved into my boyfriends house back in April and he didn't have it only had an digital antenna. Well I told him once we got settled into our new place (boxes unpacked etc) we were getting cable and he said whatever I wanted. So I texted him just now and said whatcha doin? he replied watching tv and all in caps he wrote WE HAVE CABLE!! I had to laugh, I'm thinking the poor cable guy who came and installed our cable probably thinks my boyfriend has been living in a cave, since he got all excited about having cable. Sorry enough rambling about moving, my boyfriend and cable. So the next thing on my list of things to get is...internet and hopefully New Stamps from the New Idea & Catalog Book from SU! I know I'm probably the only one out there who hasn't ordered anything yet, here's hoping I can next month. So I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe week, I'll be back with another update soon. Weekends were do they go?

Just wanted to update we moved into our New place this weekend & we kind of unpacked somethings. We still have stuff in the garage from our old place & I still have a lot of stuff still at my parents house. But we at least hacve the majority of it at the new home. But still I think I was cheated out of the weekend. We started moving stuff Thursday and I swear in just a few hours it was Tuesday and time to go back to work. At this rate this time next year we might be settled into the new house. We did take a break on Sunday and watched the fireworks from Downtown Indy from our front yard, we also could see neighborhood fireworks shows and some from another community firworks show. All of that and didnt spend or waste a ounce of gas. Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. Im hoping soon I will have the craftroom set up and my computer running so I can get back on here and show you techniques and pics. But until then I will keep you updated on the progress of getting up and running again. Have a wonderful week. Until my next rambling :)

Just wanted to stop by and say hi and let you all know (those of you who have stuck around) that hopefully in the next few weeks I will be back on here blogging and sharing. We are working on getting this house and if all goes right we might have it this weekend. The only downside is that it needs some work on the inside and outside. So we have to tackle the inside before we can move in. The other downside is we have to be able to get the inside done in a week in a 1/2. If we dont we will be paying rent at the place we are at now plus paying rent on our new place. Im so hoping we get the new place and get everything packed and ready to move out of the old by July 1st. I will keep you all posted on the happenings. I will even take pics of the new place (if we get it) before and after to share with you all. Im really hoping that once I get to play with my stamping stuff that I havent forgotton how to use it :) But I guess its just like riding a bike once you hope on it, it all comes back to you. Wanted to update you all on the computer problem. After my dad has tried several times over the last week to get my computer to rehook back up to the internet it just wont. So he said that I have to get a new program since mine is old on my computer so I can get hooked up. Fine not a problem I can do that, NOT. Until I get the money to do all this I am unable to post pics and techniques. So what Im going to do is try and post once a week on what Im working on etc. until I get the money saved up to fix that darn computer. The other thing is I have moved in with my boyfriend and we dont have internet or cable but that is another problem for another day :) So please check back and I will update just wont have the pics. I am working on 3 graduation cards for my hairdresser. Once I have those done I will post about them. I will let you know that Im going to be using a new stamp set from the Summer Mini to make the cards. Until my next rambling have a wonderful week.

Stamp Room Update

I am finally done with my stamp room. I must say the color didnt turn out like the paint chip color but I really like it. I have everything set up and have actually stamped something this afternoon. So check back tomorrow and I will hopefully be able to get a few nice pics of my room and put the before and after on here. The reason I say hopefully is because every pic I have taken so far are not the best, so Im hoping tomorrow the sun will actually come out so I can get a nice bright pic of the room. Stamp Room Redo

I wanted to stop by and let you know that I wont be able to post for a little while. Why you ask, will let me tell you..I woke up Sunday and decided that I wanted to start redoing the stamp room. So I went down to the room and just started ripping wallpaper down. Now normal people would have a plan, paint bought etc..me no I got the lets do this and I did. So Im on day 3 of ripping wallpaper down and I still have 2 1/2 walls to go. Its a 3 part process, first rip wallpaper down, wet backing of wallpaper to rip down, wash walls down. Since I work full-time I can only do this in the evening. My goal is to have the room wallpaper free and have the holes spackled by Sunday. I am taking pics of the process and I was planning on posting each day but I didnt really think about not having the access to my computer duh :) So Im hoping with in 2 weeks I will have the room back together and stamping away. I think next time I plan to redo something I should plan ahead and have the paint and everything to finish the project in a week. I will share with you that I am planning on painting the room a light blue/aqua and then a darker blue/aqua color sponged over it, the carpet is green and the curtains are going to be yellow. Im also buying new storage/desk items. The room will be totally different. I so cant wait. So I hope you will stick around. I cant wait to share the finished room with you all. So until my next rambling :)

I made these last weekend. One is for my SIL birthday and I'm hoping she doesn't see it on here, the other I made just cause.

This card was made with a new set you can find in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The stamp set is one of the new Clear Mount sets, which I love. You can also order the set in the wood mount.

This card was also made using a new Sizzix embosslit die from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It not only cuts out the butterflies but it also embosses them. Its so cool.

So I'm home today, snow day :) Its really coming down out and the roads are really a mess so I decided that I was going to work from home. So if you are out and about in the snowy conditions be safe. I will hopefully have a video up soon, maybe not this week. Maybe I will do a video next week of my new goodies that I'm getting from SU!. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year day. I had a wonderful Christmas got everything I wanted. Hope everyone else did. I did get something very special from my Nephew and I wanted to share it with all of you. My SIL took my nephew to Archivers to get a G.C for me and while they were there he wanted to make me a card, but they didn't have the time so instead my SIL found this kit that she let him buy to make me. So with a little help from my brother (who I have to add hates making crafty things)he made this G.C holder. I have to tell you all that I don't cry very easily over little things but when I got this and they told me that he made it for me I started to cry. Now my nephew likes to make cards and I know he will someday stop making them because it wont be as cool. He is 6 and he is quite good at making the cards. So below is the pic of my very special Christmas present which I will always love and proudly display.

So sorry I havent posted since right before Thanksgiving....really is that the last time I posted, shame on me. I do have a really good reason. Christmas thats the reason. I have been decorating, shopping, family obligations (like both my nephews having school programs, on different weeks) and making cards. Just last night I finished my last Christmas Card. So I will let you all know right now that I wont be back until next year and once Im back I will be back to posting every week, hopefully with video techniques, but not sure I might have to get a new camera since the one I was using has been taken over for pictures and videos of the new puppy that I got my mom for Christmas. Its been a crazy last few weeks. I got my mom a new puppy for Christmas ( I will get a pic of her up her soon so you can see her) she is a cutie. Has grown like a weed and she is only 2 months old. Ive been trying to do some Christmas shopping but that hasnt really worked out (car problems) and I have not been in the creative mood. Again I am sorry for the lack of blog posting but check back next week and I should make up for it :)

Halloween Baskets

You have probably seen the Pumpkin basket around on the internet (I found the instructions on Splitcoast) using the pillow box die from Stampin’ Up!©. Well I took it a step further and made several different kind using pretty much the same idea as the Pumpkin basket. The only one that took a little longer was the bat one, which took 5 pillow box dies (2 for the wings). Hope you enjoy and if you have any questions please let me know.

Wanted to share my Swaps I made for the Ohio Regional's I went to today. Had a nice time. Learned a few things and some cool Techniques that hopefully will be able to share with you all once I get my computer to work with my camera for video’s. So without any more rambling her are my swaps.

This swap I used the baby wipe technique. I enjoy using this technique because you never get the same look.

This swap was real simple. The most time consuming part of it was cutting out the gourds.

Wanted to let you know that there will be a few changes you will notice on this blog over the next few days. Stampin’ Up!© has changed some of the Rules concerning demo’s and there blogs. My favorite Pic from the Nascar Race

This will be the only picture I will share with you from the Nascar Brickyard 400 race last weekend. The reason for that is because one I don't want to bore you with a ton of pics and 2 because of all the pictures that were taken this is by far my favorite.

This is Ryan my oldest nephew. This was his 1st Nascar race. He is 6 yrs old and he lasted almost thru the whole race. The race is 160 laps we stayed for 125 laps. He is a big tony Stewart fan. This picture was taken from my deck as we were getting ready to leave for the race.

Ok so by now you noticed there has been a lack of posting for the week, and that is because I have been busy. I'm going to the SU! regional's in September in Ohio and I have been making my swaps. I know its over a month away, but I had an idea of what I wanted to do and I wanted to get them done. I make a total of 100 swaps (card fronts only). I make 50 Halloween and 50 Fall. The reason I don't make all of them one kind is because not everyone likes Halloween. I will post a pic of both swaps in September after the Regional's. I just ordered a SU! order so when that comes in I will share it with you all. I'm still working on doing my video Techniques, I will hopefully have a practice one up by next week. Not stamping related

Small delay this week from posts. Getting ready for the Brickyard 400 (Nascar Race) and I have a baby shower to go to. So right now there will be no cardmaking/techniques going on. Thursday I'm taking my nephews to see the Hauler parade. What is that you ask its were the Haulers (the semi’s that bring the stock cars, and everything else minus the drivers they need for the race) down the road in a convoy/parade. This is the 1st time I have ever heard of them doing it here. What is really cool is they are coming down the interstate that runs right by my house so I will go after work and pick up my nephews and bring them to see this. Unfortunately its going to be during daylight, I've seen them do this for a race in Bristol on TV and its really cool because they do it at night. But I cant be picky, its a site to see 40 semi’s all decorated in racing colors. Before you ask I am so going to take pics and post them here, but they wont be up till next week because you have to know that I will be taking pics at the track on Sunday of the race also. If you have visited my blog before around this time you know that I usually always have pics of the race. This race will be special for me this year for a couple reasons, 1. because this will be the 1st race I'm taking my 6 yr old nephew to (he is a tony Stewart fan) 2. because this will be the 1st race I'm taking my mom to (she's a Greg Biffle fan) 3. this will be the last brickyard race I'm going to, why you ask because I have no one to go with after Sundays race. Maybe in the future I can fine someone who enjoys the race as much as I do, but until then I have to let my race tickets go. Ok sorry this post has nothing to do with stamping, but after the race pics next week it will be all stamping all the time :)

When is a Wheel not a Wheel

when you turn it into a stamp (hahahah, I'm so funny). I don’t really have a stamping technique for you today but more of a idea. I actually saw this on someone else's blog sometime ago and thought it was a really good idea since I don’t really like using wheels. I think I have mentioned doing this before but I actually took pics to share. I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions let me know.

You will need the following items: a wheel hobby knife easy mount

First you need to take the wheel and find the seam

Once you found the seam take your hobby knife and cut the seam. Be careful doing this you can cut yourself

Once you cut the seam very carefully peel back the rubber image. Once you start peeling you want to do the whole wheel. If any of the sticky residue comes off with the rubber just rub your finger over it.

This is what it should look like once you get the rubber image off of wheel. I usually throw my wheel away, I haven't come up with anything to do with it once I remove the rubber image.

Now take your easy mount and put you rubber image on it. Before I take the paper backing off the easy mount I cut out enough for my image. Then I take the paper backing off and place the image on it. Make sure you have the rubber image where you want it before you place it on the sticky side of the easy mount because its super sticky. Once you have it placed on how you want it, take your exacto knife and cut the extra easy mount away.

Finished stamp.

The only thing you need is a stamping block, some ink and cardstock.

The way I store my non-wheels is with these clear holder things I get at Archivers. Archivers has several different sizes. I get the thinner ones.

New SU! Stuff

So I got my box of goodies from SU! yesterday. I would have shown pics yesterday but by the time I got home from my hair appt. and dinner and shopping with Mom it was late. I didn’t get a huge amount of goodies, but I got enough to keep me busy this weekend if it does rain. Without anymore rambling here are the pics.

Wanted to show you what I did with the Sizzix Square die. I took a normal size card and using the Square die made a scalloped card. It was so cool, now if only I can figure out how to do the same thing using the Sizzix Circle Die.

My next Technique I’m going to do is show you how to make wheel stamps into non-wheel stamps. I just haven’t taken the time to set the camera up so I can take pics while I’m doing it. I am looking into maybe getting a Flip camera so I can make video’s instead of taking pics for my techniques. Wouldn’t that be cool. Ok enough rambling. Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday. Technique Time :)

Not only do I have a technique to share with you, but I also have a pop-up card to share with you. So lets start with the Technique. The technique is sort of like thumping with markers but we us ink pads instead.

So here is what you will need:

3 ink pads (lightest to darkest)

white cardstock

stamp

Step 1: Starting with the lightest color, ink your stamp. Then with the next color thump or dab in different spots on the stamp, then do the last color (your darkest color) the same as above.

Step 2: Take your inked up stamp and stamp it on the white cardstock. See my example, where I did the 3 different colors. It looks a lot better in person. I have photo taking issues :)

Step 3: Finish card. Its that easy.

In case anyone is wondering why in the world I would be making a Fall card in summer is because its (in my opinion) freezing here today. Last week in Indy we were in the 90's today we reach a high of 65 degrees. Its like fall weather around here. But it wont last because the humidity is coming back and the AC will be back on in a few days. Dont get me wrong I really like fall & spring better then I do summer or winter, but its just to early for this cool down. Ok thats all I have on the weather here in Indy. Moving on :)

So I got the Sizzix pop-up cake die and used it for the 1st time the other night to make my grandma a b-day card, so I thought I would share it with you all.

Hi all. So last week I found this new program you can download called Windows live writer that someone on SCS was talking about. They were saying it was really cool and you can make your post on it and it would transfer to your blog. I thought how cool, so I have been using it. Guess what its not posting to my blog. Somewhere out there in cyber world is my posts. So Im hoping that I can figure out how to work it so it will post to my blog. The thing I liked most about it was how it did the pics, nothing like blogger where sometimes my pics are ok and other times they are however blogger seems to want them. So I just wanted to touch base with you all and let you know I havent forgotten you, Im just having issues and problems. Well I finally have gotten around to posting the technique for this week its only what 5 days late. But don't fear I already have next weeks technique ready to go. So with out any further rambling we will get right to the technique.

You will need the following items:

3 contrasting inkpad colors

vellum

white cardstock

Step 1: Take lightest color of ink and drag across vellum. Continue this step for all 3 colors, working from lightest to darkest.

Once you have done above your vellum should look like this.

Step 2: Take white cardstock (you want cardstock a little smaller then vellum) and place on your work station. Take you inked vellum and lay the ink side down on your white cardstock and rub your vellum all over, so the ink will transfer to white cardstock. Once you are done rubbing, lift velum off of cardstock. You should get an effect like the pic.

Step 3: Now you can do 2 things, you can either use just the vellum or the white cardstock for your card or you can attach the vellum on top of the white cardstock to get a cool look. My finished card was done with the vellum on top of the white cardstock. When you do it that way you can see the color that you rubbed onto the white cardstock come thru the vellum. Its kind of hard to see in the pic, but trust me it gives cool look.

Just stopping by to say Hi :) I am so bad, I promised that I would be back with some cards and a technique and I just never came back. Its not like I was busy or anything it was just so nice outside that we have been out working in the yard. But know that its starting to get warmer and sticky out I will be inside in the AC more, which in turn will mean that I will be making more cards and other things. I do have 2 cards to share with you that I made about a month ago and never got around to posting them. finally. Who knew that it would take almost 2 weeks to redo a 11x9 bedroom. It took 2 days just to do the floor. Here's what I did. Mom and I stripped the wallpaper from my walls which took about 2 days. Then since I have plaster walls I couldnt just paint over the walls so I did this technique were you take spackling like paint (it also has sand in it) and you roll it onto your walls and it makes a pattern, anyway that took 2 days. Then you have to let it dry like a day or so. So over Memorial Day weekend I painted. The color I chose is kind of a Aqua blue color. Its so pretty, or at least I think it is. So then after that was done which also took 2 days to paint. Dad started the floors. Let me explain the floors..its called snap wood flooring and its supposed to be easy...ha ha ha... its easy if you have brand new floors like new construction homes. Now if you have a house thats over 75 years old its not easy. Dad tried it 3 different ways before it finally laid down flat. So once that was done it was time to move back into my room. So it took me 2 days to move back into my room and purchase new stuff to go with my room-bedspread, rug, material. I still need to get new blinds and some more material to cover my footstool. Ok I have bored you enough with my play by play of redecorating my room. So I have pics of the finished room.

Short Break

In posting Techniques this week. I started a spontanous project Saturday night and I have to have it finished by Saturday evening. This project has nothing to do with stamping. See Saturday we were cleaning out the almost dry basement and my dad found this texture paint stuff and I thought cool I could use that in my bedroom to change the walls. See in my bedroom I still have plaster walls and they arent pretty so we usually wallpaper the walls. Well for some unknown reason wallpaper isnt very popular anymore and is really hard to find (or at least find something I like) . So when I saw we still had the texture wall stuff I went upstairs and cleaned out my room and started ripping the wallpaper off the walls. Then yesterday I spakled the holes and tonight I start on 1 wall (actually 2 walls they are both not full walls) and each night after work I will do a wall. My plan is to have all the walls textured by Wed. then let them rest fully on Thursday and then Friday and Saturday paint the walls. Because see Sunday we are installing hardwood flooring in my room and Mom said if I wanted to have the flooring I had to have all the walls done (manily because Im very sloppy when it comes to painting etc) So see I wont have time to blog or do much else if I plan to get this all done before Saturday night. I can only work on my room when I get off work so it limits my time. I sometime wish I worked in a place that offered paid vacation time but I dont and I like my job to much to look for another one that offers paid time off. So I will stop rambling on and let you all go. So hope everyone has a wonderful week and a wonderful and safe Memorial day. I will post pics of my room before during and after. Hi :) Sorry I was super busy last week and this week has gone to heck. So hopefully once everything is back to normal I will have pics of some cards I made and a technique. My nephew graduates tonight from Kindergarten so I have that to go to tonight. Not to mention a flooded basement from all the rain we got at 3 this morning. I also have a yard full of leaves and branches from the storms we got yesterday afternoon and evening. I have enough leaves and branches in the yard to make several new trees (hehheh). Hopefully the cable guys will be out today before I have to go the my nephews graduation. The wind was so strong yesterday evening that it ripped the cable line from the house and snapped it in 2. For some unknown reason someone has to be at the house for them to fix it even though its outside. All I know is it better be up and running before the season finale of Supernatural at 9 tonight, because Im not sure my DVR will record it if my cable is out and that is one show I will Not miss. Take for granted I can watch it online but its just not the same. I hope if you had any storms in the last several days all is well with you and your family. Have a good day and evening.

Tuesday Technique Time :)

Finally got the pics uploaded and ready to share with you all. This really isnt a technique for say, its more like I found my Alcohol reinkers and thought I would play with them. The first technique I did was tye-dye.

I took 3 colors and made like a bulls-eye with them on top of my mat (im not sure the name of it, but you use this mat with a melting pot). I did a dark color in the middle then, the lighter color and then the last color. When I had what I thought was enough color I took my glossy cardstock and laid it down on the color and rotated it.

This is the finished card using the tye-dye effect.

This one I took 3 colors and kind of did a splatter effect. This is really messy and gets everywhere, but its fun to do. I took one of the colors and held it side ways so that a little bit of the color was almost dripping onto my paper and I blew on it to make the splatter effect. Now if you are going to try this make sure 1. you are wearing bummy clothes and 2. cover anything you dont want the inks to splatter on. I dont have a card to show you with this technique because the idea I had didnt work out and I pitched it.

This one I did the polished stone technique but used Acetate.

If you dont know how to do the polish stone technique let me know.

Finished card. What I found kind of cool with this was that some of the color turned green. I have no idea why since I did use green. I think it might have something to do with the Acetate I used.

This one I used a technique I found on someone elses blog (once I found that blog I will credit that person with this technique).

Take a piece of glossy cardstock and working fast drop a color and I blew on mine, you have to get close to the paper and blow to spread the color around. Now the original person who did this technique used one of those duster cans (the ones you clean your keyboard with) but since I didnt have one and was to lazy to go out and get one I just blew on it.

I hope you enjoyed the ideas to do with your alcohol inks. If you have any questions or if you know the person who did the technique above please let me know.

I wanted to share this idea with you also. I found these at Michaels in the scrapbooking area were they have all those cool storage containers. They come 2 in a package for $14.99. Well I found these and have been wanting them but couldnt figure out what to do with them. So Monday I figured out what to do with them and bought 2 packages (i had a 40% coupon) and this is what I did with them. How cool is that.

Just a small Thank-you to you all for letting me get out my little vent. I feel a lot better after getting all that off my chest. I just didnt have anyone to tell that all to and for some reason I needed to reach out to all of you who read my blog that dont really know me other then what you read. It just made me feel better. I thank you. I came home tonight and actually went into my craft room and did something. I didnt make a card, instead I made a mess. I decided that I would re-organize my stamps and break them down into catagories and color code them. Which believe it or not is a pain in the butt to do this, but its making me feel better. So this is what my room looks like right now.

Stamp sets that I have organized already. Each set is color coded for seasons/occasions etc.

Some of the stamp sets that I havent gotten done yet. What is bad is these are only the retired sets. I still have to do the current stamp sets.

Im in a Funk-(NSR)

and it might be awhile before im fully unfunked. This happens to me every so often. I get really down or I guess the best thing to say is I get depressed. I get lonely. I wake up one day and it starts. I go to work I come home I go to bed and start all over again. I have no life anymore. I use to come home from work change my clothes and be gone till 3 in the morning and then start it all over again. I didnt need sleep I had fun. Now I have nothing. All my friends are married have kids and have no room to hang out with a single 35 yr old. So I go to work I come home I go to sleep and start it all over. I have to say though I have stopped crying. I cried for 3 days about nothing and everything. So if you all who are still with me hang on I will snap out of this and will be back with techniques and cards and upbeat things. When I get like this it usually last a couple of days. But as you can tell its been almost 3 weeks. I will get over it and I will get back to creating. Im going to start rambling for a few, just because 1. I can and 2. I have no one really to vent to. Im single, Ive never been married, I have lived with a guy for 3 years (got bored and tired of his stealing my stuff and I also found out he was doing drugs) and moved back to my parents home. Which I have lived at for over 6yrs now. I would move out but I cant. I make enough money for rent but it would be one of those things that after I pay rent do I want to eat, have lights or heat. I havent been out with a guy in over 6 years. Even if one asked me out 1. how would he meet me I go no were and 2. I wouldnt know what to do, has dating changed in the last 6 yrs? I have no place to meet anyone (guys) since most of my friends are married and have kids, which in turn their new friends are also married and have kids. I drive a mini-van and I have no kids. A mini-van dosent scream single hot chick. Ok, im done. Thanks for letting me vent, decompress and hopefully move on from my funk. I do have to say that I am a big believer of if I am ment for someone we will eventually cross paths. Trust me in the years past I have come across all the wrong guys (but had fun finding that out) so the right one will be along soon. Right? Let me say sorry for this post, its sad, depressing and has not one thing to do with Stamping or Stampin' Up! or even a technique. Have a wonderful week. Until my next more upbeat rambling :)

Good Evening all. I have a Non-Stamping technique. Its not really a technique more of a I found these sticker things while I was cleaning and re-organizing my craft room and thought I would share them with you all. So I did this card with no stamping and made it under 30 mins. So without anymore rambling.
So this is what I used:
Souffle Pens
Colorable Stickers
(which both items I found at Archivers)

What the sticker looks like after you remove it from the paper backing.

I decided to place mine white cardstock. But the stickers will work on any color of cardstock.

Technique Time

I know its a day late. I forgot I had to watch my cousins last night. But its better late then never :) This technique is easy and its pretty much the same technique you use when you do the Marble background Technique.

This is what you need:

A empty SU container

3 re-inkers (light, medium, dark)

White Cardstock (cut a little smaller then container lid)

6 Beans

Step 1: Take your 1st reinker color and drop between 5-6 drops into bottom of container. Repeat process until you have use all 3 of your reinkers.

Step 2: Drop your beans into container, close lid and shake the container. Once you have covered your beans with color take adhesive (small amount) and stick your white cardstock on the lid of container. Close lid

Step 3: Now turn your container over and shake the container so the beans are bouncing, rolling onto your cardstock. Once you are satisfied with the color coverage on the cardstock stop shaking and remove your cardstock.

Step 4: Finish your card. You can either use it for flowers like I did or you can make it a background. I made the flowers by punching them with the circle scallop punch and then taking scissors and cutting a small slit in between each scallop.

I hope you enjoyed this really easy technique. I will hopefully be back this weekend with some cards and other things. Since its supposed to rain here on Saturday Im staying in and making Easter and Birthday cards. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. Until my next rambling :)

I hope you are. I have been so sick and not feeling right. I'm starting to get feeling like my normal self. I haven't really stamped a thing in the 2 weeks Ive been down. Yesterday was the 1st day that I felt more normal and went to a Inkerz get together and had a blast. Then today I was outside working in the yard, since its so beautiful outside. Not really, but their very close to it. The dog wont stop whining for food (even though he just ate) the cat wont stop jumping on my computer keyboard and biting me and the other cat wont stop meowing for food (even though he to already ate). What is a person supposed to do. Ok I feel better know, after that little outburst. Oh, speaking of feeling better I feel almost like my old self. That is enough of my rambling, on to the real post of the evening...Tuesday Technique. Its called Balloon Bounce.

This is what you need:

Cardstock-white

Latex balloon (not blown up)

dried rice, beans or macaroni

ink

Step 1: Fill your balloon with your ingredents (you dont have to fill it full).

Then bounce balloon onto ink and then bounce onto your white cardstock.

Step 2: Finish card.

illness. For those of you that are interested I went to the Doctor today and have been put on home arrest (heheh) for 24-48 hrs. I have walking pneumonia or a really bad case of bronchitis. She said that I could get worse if I go out and could end up in the hospital with pneumonia. So since I'm really not that fond of going to the hospital I'm staying inside, not to mention its supposed to be cold and snow so its not like I'm going to miss going out. So with me being at home I should at least be creative enough to make something. So hopefully I will have a few new things up here for you all. So stay tuned and stay warm. Until my next rambling :)

A Little Something for

you all to tide you over, until I get better. I had everything planned out last week. I was going to move my Thursday Technique to Tuesday and then on Friday's I was going to show some cards or anything I had been working on. But last Friday I got sick. Sore throat, I thought ok I can handle this, then Saturday really deep cough and lost my voice. I thought ok I can handle this I have meds from Walgreens that should take care of it. Fast forward to today, I am freezing, cant breath, cant talk and have major headache from coughing so much, not to mention I cant hear (ears are blocked). So I finally broke down and called the Doctor (and with me I have to be almost dead to go see the dr) and she can see me on Friday. Now normally this would be ok I would just stay home from work and get my rest and lay low, but since my boss is in Florida until March 2 and Im the only one at work, you guessed it I have to go in sick and all. So enough of the poor me I am not the only one with problems this week. I will show you what I had been working on last week before I got sick. The 1st time I looked in the New Catty I new I had to have this set. Its called Trendy Trees.

Couple of years ago SU had a stamp set called Like it a latte and I really wanted that set, but I never got around to getting it. Now its a really hard set to find so when SU came out with this one I had to get it. This set is called Sip by Sip.

This is a baby card I made for a friend of my dads. I used the circle scissor plus to make the circles.

Technique Thursday

Good Evening all. For those of you that had snow the last couple of days I hope you have been able to dig yourself out. I finally got us dug out. I finished digging us out today when I got home from work. I guess I should I got my side of the driveway/garage dug out today so I can drive myself to work tomorrow. Here's hoping that the first real snow storm of the season (which was the last couple of days) will be our last. I can take the inch or 2 but when it comes all at once with 12 inches that's enough for me. OK I have that out of my system, I will stop talking about snow now and talk about what you all came here for....The Technique. I found this online, but cant remember where. So if this is your Technique let me know and I will give you credit. The Technique is called "Crinkle Technique".
You will need:
Ink
Solid Stamp
White Cardstock
Scrap piece of Computer Paper

Step 1: Take Computer paper and wrinkle into a ball. Straighten it out and wrinkle it again. Straighten it.

Step 2: Ink up solid stamp. Lightly stamp it on the wrinkled paper. If you look at your stamp you will see where some of the ink came off on the wrinkled paper.

Step 3: Stamp on your cardstock without re-inking stamp. You will get a fun crinkle texture. Then repeat steps 1-3. Each time you will get a different look.

Step 4: Finish card.

I hope you enjoyed this Technique. I think it would make a really cool background if you have a solid BG stamp. Snow Day :)

I love having snow days, which I dont get very often. When I got home yesterday we had almost 2 inches of snow on the ground and that was around 4:30pm.

Then when I got up this morning at 8:00 am we had a total of 13 inches. Now both of the pictures are taken from my front door looking out to my driveway.

So what am I going to be doing on my snow day? 1st: I have to check the messages at work and if I have any take care of them. 2nd: Which I think I have finally finished is shoveling the driveway. It takes awhile to do because our driveway is gravel and it goes up a hill. So the only thing I can do is shovel it. So I have that done. 3rd: Thing I am going to do (hopefully) is make a few Valentine cards, a birthday card and get the Technique for tomorrow done. That will take up most of the rest of my afternoon. I hope you get to have a snow day today also. Have a good afternoon and evening. Until my next Rambling :)

Lemon Juice Technique

Good Evening all. I for once got the Technique done early and on time. I hope you enjoy it. I got this Technique from this really neat website. If you want to check it out here is the link: http://www.rubberroadadventures.com/ .
Here is what you will need:
Lemon Juice
Small Container
Paintbrush
White Cardstock
Embossing Heat Tool

Step 1: Pour a small amount of Lemon Juice in container. Pick up the Lemon Juice with the paintbrush and paint it onto the White Cardstock. Make sure you cover the whole piece. The more you put on the darker it will be.

Step 2: Using Heat gun, heat the cardstock. It will actually burn into the cardstock and change colors. After it changes color move onto the next section. If you want some of the cardstock to be lighter you will want to heat it less.

Step 3: Finish Card.

I haven't seen this Technique before and it was rather easy and kind of cool. Have fun with it. Have a great evening. Until my next rambling :)

Technique Time :)

Sorry I had every intention to get this up yesterday but my nephews were still here and its just not that easy to do anything when they are around. I don't know how you all with kids do it, but you should get medals. I love those 2 boys with all my heart, but I do know why I don't have kids :) They had me worn out and frazzled after 4 days and 3 nights. But I was glad to be able to help out my brother and SIL. Without any more rambling here is the technique. I did get this from Splitcoast Stampers. I also had a little help from my oldest nephew Ryan. He picked out the colors and did the technique while I took the pics. Hope you enjoy.
This is what you will need:
3 reinkers (light, medium, dark colors)
2 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Glossy Cardstock
Spray bottle of water
rubber gloves (optional)

Step 1: Taking the lightest color of re-inker drop about 5 drops of color on 1 piece of Glossy Cardstock.

Step 2 - 3: Next take the medium color and drop about 4 drops of color on same piece of Cardstock, with the darkest color drop 3 drops of color on same cardstock.

Step 4: Taking Spray bottle of water and spray twice on the non-inked glossy cardstock and twice on the cardstock with color. Then lay non-inked glossy cardstock on top of the inked cardstock

Step 5: This is where you will want to put the rubber gloves on if you don't want you fingers to get ink on them. Now rub the top of the glossy cardstock, this will smoosh the color around.

Step 6: This is what it will look like once you are finished smooshing. Now you will want to sit this aside to dry. Your paper will curl up since its wet, but as it dries it will lay back down.

Step 7: Finish your card. This card's background is different since my nephew helped with the technique he thought he should get the finished cardstock so I didn't even get a chance to make a card with it. So I made my own smooshed background.
This Technique is also very easy that with some supervision kids can do it to. Like I said my nephew helped and he is 5 and didn't really get much ink on him.

Subject: FW: Flat Tire

Yesterday I had a flat tire on the interstate. So I ease my car over to the shoulder of the road, carefully get out of the car and open the trunk.I took out 2 cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of my car facing oncoming traffic. They look so lifelike you wouldn't believe! They are in trench coats exposing their nude bodies and private parts to the approaching drivers. But to my surprise, cars start slowing down looking at my lifelike men. And of course, traffic starts backing up. Everybody is tooting their horns and waving like crazy. It wasn't long before a state trooper pulls up behind me.He gets out of his car and starts walking towards me. I could tell he was not a happy camper!'What's going on here?''My car has a flat tire', I said calmly.'Well, what the hell are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?'I couldn't believe that he didn't know. So I told him, 'Helloooooo,those are my emergency flashers!'

Thursday Technique Time

Well here is the 1st Thursday Technique of the new year. I have to admit that I did get this Technique from another blog, its from http://www.butternutsagetutorials.blogspot.com/ . She calls it frosting. Its super cool and super easy. So with out further rambling here is the Technique. This is what you will need:

Flour

Salt
Reinker (i used orchid opulence)
Embossing Gun
Dauber or 1/2 teaspoon
small container
White Cardstock

Step 1: Measure out Flour using either the dauber or 1/2 teaspoon and put that in the small container and then do the same to the salt.

Step 2: Add a little bit of water to salt & flour mixture. Once you add the water stir using either the end of a paintbrush or a toothpick.

You don't want to add to much water because you want the mixture to come out like a thick Elmer's glue.

Step 3: Add 2 drops of color using your reinker to the mixture.

Stir until you get all the color mixed.

Step 4: Using a paintbrush ( a small one) take a small amount of the mixture and place it in the middle of your image and brush it out towards the end.

Continue until you have your desired image filled with the mixture.

Step 5: The fun part. Take your embossing gun and heat the image until it starts to bubble and rise. You can kind of tell in this picture as I'm heating it where its starting to rise and get a little lighter.

This is what it will look like when its finished heating.

Isn't that so cool.

Step 6: Finish Card. This card I made was for my SIL's b-day. I used a lighter reinker for this card then I used in the Technique.

to you all. I hope everyone is staying warm and dry. Its raining/sleeting drizzle here, its been doing this since really early this morning. We so far haven't had any snow to speak of. Which for Indiana is kind of unusual, we usually at least get several inches. We have had enough freezing rain stuff to last a lifetime. It seems like almost every Tuesday for the last month we have had freezing rain. Sorry started rambling about the weather didn't I. OK back to what you came here to look at. Of the New Year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I had a wonderful holiday. Got a lot of goodies and laughed and played games with my family. Next week I will start doing Thursday Technique's again so make sure you come back to check that out. I'm am hoping that I will be a better blogger this year. I'm hoping to be able to post at least 2 times if not more a week. I wanted to stop by and share a few cards I made over the last 2 weeks. I made several but I thought I would show you some of the cards I made with some of my new stamps I got on the day after Christmas. I also wanted to show you a card I made for Abraham Lincolns 200th Birthday. I'm not sure if every city paper ran an article about the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission wanting people from all over to send Handmade Cards wishing Lincoln a Happy 200th Birthday. The article was ran in the Indianapolis Star I think it was in Mondays paper. Sorry I have been MIA lately, getting ready for Christmas is taking a lot of my time this year. Wanted to stop by and say Hi :) I'm not sure if I will have time tomorrow to stop by with a Technique or not. If I cant I will be back on Friday. My littlest Nephew is going to be in a school program tomorrow night and we are also helping my Brother and SIL paint their new house. So I will be busy tomorrow night. Thursday Technique

So tonight's technique isn't really so much a technique as its a think out side of the stamping box thing. So this is what you will need Any kind of clear stamp that is able to smoosh, bend or change around. I used the snowman from Stampendous (which I got for my b-day). So this is what you need to do, look at your stamp and think about changing it.

For example what I did with the snowman. I first stamped him on a piece of cardstock looking normal.

Then after I cleaned him a took the snowman and made it look like he was melting, then stamped him.

I changed him again and made him look thinner and longer, then stamped him.

Here are 2 cards I made doing the above idea. I didn't really explain the idea really good, but hopefully the pics will explain it better. If you have any questions on this let me know.

Since Thanksgiving is next Thursday there will be no Technique, but I will try and get one on here that weekend. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a safe and fun Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Until my next rambling :)

Yes that's right I'm 35 today :) Not many people would be excited about this, but for some reason I'm happier about turning 35 today then I was when I turned 21. So I want everyone to have a wonderful day, why you ask because its my Birthday and I said so. So off you go do something wild, fun and rememberable. I on the other hand will be at work till 4 and then I will probably stamp some. My parents are taking me out to lunch today, but Saturday all my family will get together and celebrate with lunch, cupcakes and raking leaves (do we know who to party or what). Thursday Technique Time

Good evening all. Hope your week has been wonderful. Its been really wonderful weather here in Indy this week (in the 70's), but its all about to change this weekend (in the 40's). But what do you expect its November in Indy so it had to get cold sometime soon. So you all didn't come here to read me rambling on about the weather. So here is what you came for...Thursday Technique. I'm not really sure what it is called I call it Mist Stamping.

Here is what you need:

Ink

Stamps

Mister

Cardstock

Step 1: Ink your stamp up

Step 2: Once you have inked your stamp take your mister and

spritz your stamp. (I spritz it 2 times-you also want to have your mister a few inches away from the stamp) You want your ink to kind of bead up-like the pic (click on pic to see it bigger)

Step 3: Stamp onto your cardstock. Repeat step 1 & 2 until you have covered you paper the way you want it.

Step 4: Once you have your cardstock stamped to your liking then you want to ink the stamp up again & stamp over the misted image. (see pic)

Step 5: Finish your card. The card I did I also did the above steps on the green part but you cant see it as well as the stamped images on the white cardstock.

Hope you enjoyed the Technique this week. It also will look cool for Christmas cards using snowflakes. I will try and do one this weekend and put it on here. Next week there will be no Technique Thursday since its my 35th Birthday and I have no idea what I will be doing. So Technique Thursday will resume on 11/20. Sorry for the lack of posting. I started a technique for you last week to show you, but then I got side tracked and have yet to finish it. So hopefully when I get back from Chicago I will get my act together and get techniques up for you all. So I'm going to Chicago for my Birthday (which is still 2 weeks away). My Aunt and Uncle almost every year take me to Chicago to shop. I so can't wait I have the restaurant I want to eat at all picked out and a few stores we don't have here in Indy picked out to shop at. We leave my house at the crack of dawn and will return to my house late at night. I'm so excited :) I hope I will be able to sleep tonight. So without any more rambling I will leave you all with a HAPPY HALLOWEEN have fun tonight if you are going to a party or trick or treating (and yes you are never to old to trick or treat). My Big Purchases this Weekend...

See what I got this weekend :) You've gotta love 50% coupons. I got the crease pad for the Sizzix at Michaels and then went to Joann's and got the star. I noticed that Stampin' Up!© has the same stuff but I couldn't pass up the same item with a 50% off coupon. I was so excited about this purchase. So I came home and played with it and this star is a lot bigger then I thought. It comes out as a 8 1/2 inch star. It is a lot bigger then what I had in mind to do with it, but its still really cool. So run don't walk with you 50% off coupon to your nearest Michaels and Joann's stores :) I will hopefully will be back tomorrow night to show you some cards I made in the last couple of nights. Technique Time

Good Evening all. Sorry the Technique is late, it wasn't working out right for me last night. The Technique tonight I haven't seen it anywhere else on the net, so I guess I might be the first to do this. I call it Faux Cracked Glass.
You will need the following items:

Diamond Glaze or Crystal Effects
Stamps
Cardstock
Ink

Step 1: Stamp you image onto you cardstock. I cut my stamped image out.

Step 2: Cover stamped image with a thick layer of Diamond Glaze. I adhere my stamped image to a scrap piece of cardstock, I do this because once you add the Glaze your cardstock starts to curl.

Step 3: Depending on how thickly you covered your image will depend on how long it needs to dry. I usually let mine dry overnight.

Step 4: Once your image is dry remove it carefully from the scrap paper and bend you image to make it crack. I bend mine in several different directions.

Step 5: Once you have cracked your image to your liking you can finish your card.

Step 6: Finished Card
